Pharaoh’s Nectar Ingredients: What’s in the Formula?
The merchant highlights five botanicals—Blue Vervain, Eleuthero Root, Lady’s Mantle, Licorice Root and Peppermint Oil—alongside its “M-state gold” positioning.
Ingredient overview
| Ingredient | How we treat it editorially |
|---|---|
| Blue Vervain | Botanical with traditional uses; human evidence is limited for many promoted uses. |
| Eleuthero Root | Botanical commonly marketed for stamina/stress support; claims should be evaluated independently. |
| Lady’s Mantle | Traditional botanical; avoid assuming historical use equals proven clinical benefit. |
| Licorice Root | Botanical with meaningful safety considerations, particularly for glycyrrhizin exposure in susceptible people. |
| Peppermint Oil | Aromatic botanical ingredient; evidence depends on formulation, dose and intended use. |
See the merchant page for the current product label and formulation details.
Blue vervain deserves special context
The LactMed review for vervain notes no scientifically valid clinical trials supporting its purported use as a galactogogue and says data are lacking on safety and efficacy in nursing mothers and infants. This does not prove the product is unsafe; it demonstrates why broad benefit claims should not be assumed. PubMed/LactMed review.
Licorice root deserves special caution
NCCIH reports that glycyrrhizin in licorice can cause serious adverse effects, especially with large or long-term exposure, and that risk may be higher for people with hypertension or heart or kidney conditions. Read NCCIH guidance.
